# 4Bids: User Registration

The **4Bids** platforms requires users (buyers) to be **registered and logged in** in order to place offers on open properties (auction or private treaty). Due to **GDPR requirements** and in order to **maintain a high level of security**, we require a double opt-in registration process.

**Here’s our guide on how to register and manage your account:**

After visiting any open property and click the login/sign-up link, you will get redirected to a login/sign-up page, where you need to enter your details. If you don’t have an account, select the blue **Register** link.

After registration, you will get a **notification email**. **Follow the link** to **log in**.

After you successfully log in, head over to your **4Bids** settings, where, **after you agree to the online bidding terms and conditions**, you can **manage your settings**, view **available properties** (auction and/or private treaty), view your **current offers**, **upload documents** and more.

Your user profile settings can be found in the **Profile** section and your uploaded documents and photos are available in the **Media** section. Update your user/buyer details with your **full name** and **telephone number**.
